Employees – Permissions and Discounts Configuration Guide
The Employees section allows you to define employee permissions and control discount limits that staff can apply during order creation. These settings help balance operational flexibility with management control, ensuring staff can work efficiently while preventing misuse.
This section consists of two main parts:
-
Employee Permissions

-
Employee Discount Setting

1. Employee Permissions
Allow Employees to Clock In and Clock Out
This setting determines whether employees are allowed to clock in and out independently across all system applications.
When enabled
-
Employees can clock in and out themselves
-
No manager intervention is required
-
Works across all connected applications
-
Ideal for fast-paced environments
When disabled
-
Only managers or supervisors can clock employees in or out
-
Provides additional oversight and control
Typical use cases
-
Restaurants with many part-time or shift-based employees
-
High-volume operations where speed is essential
-
Locations without constant managerial presence
This setting simplifies time tracking while reducing administrative workload for supervisors.
2. Employee Discount Settings
The Employee Discount section allows you to control how much discount employees can apply to orders.
2.1 Maximum Discount Amount (€)
Example: €20.00
This setting defines the maximum monetary discount an employee may apply to a single order.
-
Prevents excessive discounting
-
Protects revenue
-
Applies to all employee-applied discounts
2.2 Maximum Discount Percentage (%)
Example: 25%
This setting defines the maximum percentage-based discount employees may apply.
-
Useful for larger orders
-
Provides flexibility without allowing unlimited discounts
How both limits work together
-
The system enforces both limits simultaneously
-
The applied discount must stay within both the amount and percentage limits
-
If either limit is exceeded, the discount will be blocked
This dual-limit approach ensures consistent and controlled discount usage.
